Mr. Furey is a Principal at Craton having recently joined the firm from Strategic Value Partners (SVP), a multi-billion dollar distressed debt manager in Greenwich, Connecticut. While at SVP Mr. Furey was responsible for Client Relationship Management & Business Development. Prior to that Mr. Furey was a Managing Director with Sandell Castlerigg. While at Sandell he was responsible for raising capital globally while also overseeing the launch of Sandell’s private equity portfolio. Mr. Furey was also a
member of Merrill Lynch’s institutional relationship management team within their Investment Bank. Mr. Furey has also worked for the UBS Private Bank in Zurich, Switzerland as well as UBS - Brinson Partners in Chicago.

Mr. Furey received an MBA from the University of Chicago in 2002 and a BA in International Economics in 1995 from Southern Illinois University. He also proudly served as a United States Marine from 1987 to 1991.
