Mr. Asarnow developed the business plan for the company, oversaw all sales and marketing activities and managed several successful fundraising rounds as well as the sale of a position in Control Room to Intermedia Partners. At Control Room, Mr. Asarnow led an organization that grew from inception to a leading digital media company with blue chip customers such as Microsoft, AOL, Qualcomm and Nokia with offices in Los Angeles, New York and London. At Live Earth, he oversaw the Global media architecture that resulted in one of the largest events in history, creating a tipping point in generating consumer awareness around climate change. Mr. Asarnow managed the broadcast architecture encompassing eight sites across the globe with media partners in over 100 countries.
Mr. Asarnow has worked closely with organizations such as former U.S. Vice President Al Gore's Alliance For Climate Protection and Global Water Challenge to help shape Live Earth's overall business, messaging and policy strategy. He also co-founded and serves as a director for Sustainable Holdings, a firm that has partnered on two public equity sustainability funds with Dimensional Fund Advisors, one of the world’s leading investment management firms with over $150 billion under management. Asarnow oversees all operations and corporate strategy for the firm.
Earlier in his career Asarnow worked in finance and high tech at Shelter Capital Partners, Alta Vista and IGN Entertainment. Mr. Asarnow is active in the angel investment community, having structured numerous investments into early stage companies in the clean tech, media and high tech sectors.
