Tom is Managing Partner and member of the Board of Directors and a senior investment professional of Craton.

For 20 years, Tom has used his collective experience as a business man, environmental activist and political advisor to assist in identifying collaborative solutions to challenging environmental and policy concerns. In that respect he founded in 1989 PS Enterprises, one of the country’s leading environmental regulatory and compliance firms.
During this time Tom helped to introduce such innovative technologies to market such as electric ground service equipment for airport operations through one of the largest airport electrification programs in the world on behalf of American Airlines, as well as the introduction of electric snowmaking equipment that could be used in lieu of diesel generated snow in warmer climates, helping to save hundreds of resort area jobs in the mountains of southern California, and fuel cell technology making the first commercial sale of fuel cells in the country to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

Tom has a vast history of advising local and national figures from the White House to the City of Los Angeles. He recently was Team Co-lead of the Executive Office of the President's Transition team focused on the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) for President Obama. Most recently, in December of 2009, Tom participated in President Obama's White House Summit on Jobs, and was asked to present his position on how green jobs and clean technology could contribute to the country's economic recovery in a small breakout session lead by the President and his Secretary of Energy, Steven Chu. Throughout the 1990's, Tom was also President Clinton's appointee to the Border Environmental Cooperation Commission which oversaw and insured the environmental component of the North American Free Trade Agreement was adhered to, and that the financial resources committed to these concerns were available through the multibillion dollar North American Development Bank (NADBank). He continues to remain as an advisor to many of the country's elected officials and corporate leaders on environmental matters and clean technology related issues and green jobs and was recently selected by Hispanic Business Magazine as one of 2010's One Hundred Most Influential Hispanics in the United States.

Although Tom’s business back ground is long and diverse, his environmental activism makes his business perspective unique. Tom remains as board secretary of the Mono Lake Committee, and has been on the boards of the California League of Conservation Voters; the Planning and Conservation league; and was the long time president and board member of the Coalition for Clean Air. Tom is an active member of the Clean Tech Ventures Network, the Apollo Alliance, NRDC’s E2 and is a member of the board of director of the New America Alliance.  Tom is also a Director for the following Craton companies: EnLink GeoEnergy, GridPoint, Liquid Environmental Solutions, Principle Energy Limited and Propel BioFuels.

Tom is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, and lives in Santa Monica, California.
